A contribution from Sergio Alarcon of Spain:
Congratulations to have a place to share our experiences, our memories and our future projects. I thanks Hat to have the place and the feeling, and even better help people like Martin Bergsma come to live again.
Well... here you can find from Airfix higlanders thirty years old (since I was 8 years old ), Airfix British hussars still fighting the new generation Italieri French Infantry or Hat Prussians Uhlans.
This is a 1,5 x 1 meter diorama that is growing to include some hills and more, more soldiers.
Webmaster's notes in quotes. Some of the pictures you can click to get a bigger one.
Highlanders hiding in the fields:
"Hay so high that it hid troops. This is about the first depiction of that I have seen. That fellow on the right is deuced unlucky to get hit in the hay."
The main gate under pressure:
"Here is a fine use for that clubbing man that so many of you deride. Where is Legros when you need him? I bet Lt. Legros would have broken down that gate."
The fight for the main road:
"Here is the view from on top. Some nice rocks or boiling oil would come in handy here."
The hussars shadow:
"I hope there are more hussars behind him."
The Rocket Artillery:
"That fellow Congreve was always itching to use his rockets. Exciting for both friend and foe."
Many thanks to Mr. Alarcon.
