Test shots. Please note that these are test shots only.
The 5000 series is to be a 1/72 scale easy to assemble armor series. The kit is made of styrene and needs to be glued to be assembled and is not a snap together kit. It is meant mainly to be a wargaming kit, i.e. you can mass assemble a platoon/group/regiment/corps in a short amount of time. However, the kit is still designed to be accurate, especially as far as scale is concerned, and as accurate as can be within the confines of a two part mold.
The first three pictures show the crudely assembled prototype, assembled without the benefit of slots or pins, which have not been added to the model.
The next two shots show the prototype sprue from two angles.
The final three shots show the model with 1/72 and HO/OO scale American marines and infantry to show the scale and size of the tank.
The collector will see in the above photograph Airfix (early and late issue), Revell, Atlantic soft plastic and ESCI styrene hard plastic figures.
The collector can see in the above two photographs Revell, ESCI and Matchbox US infantry figures. Though the Matchbox figures are really 1/76 scale and are quite a bit smaller than the other figures, there should be no problems placing them in a diorama or even a wargame with other figures because people do come in different heights.
